Best Week 1 Fantasy Football Players by Positions

Hey guys, I want to give my top 3 highest scoring players for fantasy every week.  These will be my best week1 fantasy football players by positions.  I look forward to doing this every week and giving insight on who are the must lock players to start.  Hope you enjoy!

Best Week 1 Fantasy Football Players by Positions

Best Week 1 Fantasy Football Players by Positions

Best Week 1 Fantasy Quarterbacks

Russell Wilson

A surprising shootout! Russ is a steady fantasy guy every year but there are some weeks he explodes and this is one of those weeks against a shaky Atlanta defense without a pass rush.

Patrick Mahomes

The face of the NFL. Not much to say other than we all know the Chiefs are probably the league’s best offense.

Aaron Rodgers

Somewhat sneaky. A divisional game to start the season at Minnesota. I actually have the Vikings upsetting Green Bay, however, no shot Mike Hughes or Holton Hill can cover Davante Adams. Also expect MVS to make some big plays, maybe Aaron Jones catching out of the backfield or just Aaron spreading it around to everyone like he does from time to time.

Best Week 1 Fantasy Running Backs

Josh Jacobs

Swiss cheese! That’s what the Carolina Panthers defense is with a new defensive coordinator and 4 rookie starters and no Luke Kuechly.

Leonard Fournette

Welcome home Fournette! This will be Fournette’s first NFL game in his hometown of New Orleans. Homecomings have an unusual way for being the motivation players need to perform their best.

James Conner

The Giants lowly defense will not turn the corner this year. They ranked 25th in 2019 and there is no reason to be optimistic that will change this year. Conner is a bellcow back so expect him to be efficient running and catching.

Best Week 1 Fantasy Wide Receivers

Julio Jones

JULIO! Seattle can’t cover this guy or rush the passer. This is a surprise shootout game so expect some good numbers passing and receiving.

Davante Adams

Neither one of the Vikings corners can cover Davante Adams. Expect him to play with a chip on his shoulder after losing in the NFC Championship game and being injured for part of the season.

Stefon Diggs

The Jets are going to struggle covering a lot of receivers. Diggs has big play ability and the Bills would like to start off the season getting the ball to their new WR1.

Best Week 1 Fantasy Tight Ends

Jared Cook

Jared Cook caught fire at the end of last season. From Week 12 thru the Wild Card game Cook had at least 54 receiving yards in every game and posted a statline of 25/484/6. Drew Brees is going to keep looking in Cook’s direction.

Jack Doyle

With Trey Burton on IR, the door for Jack Doyle just opened up more. The Colts love to involve their TEs in the passing game and Phillip Rivers loves throwing to TEs. The Jaguars defense is very young and inexperienced. All these are signs that Doyle should have a great day.

Eric Ebron

Ebron has been getting rave reviews from Steelers camp. The Giants defense as a whole is below average but in particular the LB corp is lackluster. Ebron will be running down the middle of the field wide open.

Best Week 1 Fantasy Kickers

Jake Elliott

The Eagles will be able to the move the ball against the Washington Football Team. However, I will show some respect to Ron Rivera and Jack Del Rio that they will be a bend but don’t break defense. Therefore, look for Elliott to be called on 4 or 5 times in this game.

Justin Tucker

Tucker is always a good play but this particular game against Cleveland could be one that the Ravens value points. Instead of rolling the dice and going for it on 4th down, Harbaugh will probably take the 3 with this all pro because it is a divisional game and points on the board should be the emphasis. It helps that Tucker is pretty much automatic too.

Randy Bullock

With the Joe Burrow era getting underway, expect the Bengals to have some success against a Chargers defense that will be without Derwin James again. I expect quite a few field goals in this game because both teams should be able to move the ball, yet in the redzone is a whole different story. Can a rookie like Burrow cash in during his first start, or will the drive stall and force Bullock to be the savior.

Best Week 1 Fantasy Defenses Def/ST

New England Patriots

There should be a fire under the Patriots belly considering the Dolphins and Ryan Fitzpatrick traveled to Gillette Stadium last season and handed the Patriots a tough loss. The other meeting in 2019 was a beat down in which the Pats D scored twice. My bet is the Pats start off fast this season.

Philadelphia Eagles

Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz is one of the more aggressive DCs in the league and Washington’s offense will be searching for an identity. Sacks, turnovers, blocked kicks you name it, we might see it all in this Week 1 divisional contest.

Arizona Cardinals

I am taking the under in this game. It is a surprising pick but I do not believe in Jimmy G. I think the Cardinals can get some pressure and maybe force some bad throws or get the sack. Mainly, there is typically a game with fumble returns for touchdowns that are impossible to predict or tipped interceptions and this game could be that. Also, do not count out a ST touchdown of some sort.
